danish architectural firm schmidt hammer lassen recently won the competition to design a hotel and conference
center in lund, sweden. the building will be located at the city's highest point, providing a new architectural icon
for the city. the building has also been designed with sustainability in mind. the project's energy consumption is
about 20-25 less than comparable projects. stylistically the building gives a nod to the openness and daylight
exposure, typical of scandinavian architecture.
