Warsaw Spire, Warsaw, Poland

220m tall tower for Polish capital
Polish developers Ghelamco have had approval to build a 220m tall tower in the centre of the Polish capital. The tower named the Warsaw Spire is designed by Belgian architects, Jaspers Eyers & Partners. Oval in shape, the tower will sport a curvaceous look. A glass façade wraps itself around the tower almost like a cloak that flares out slightly from the tower at the peak. Down the centre of the towers front balconies protrude, breaking what would otherwise be a sheer shape. A large spire will sit at the top, giving it its name.

The tower will provided 60,000 sq m of office space, as well as a wide range of amenities including cafes, restaurants, an entire shop dedicated to wine for those liquid business lunches and of course shops. Ghelamco Poland plans to begin construction of the Warsaw Spire this year and complete it by the end of 2011.
