Architecture BRIO's design for a resort in Hampi, India
In collaboration with scenographer Rajeev Sethi, Architecture BRIO are currently working on the design for a resort near the UNESCO heritage site of Hampi. The austere, grandiose site of Hampi was the capital of the last great Hindu Kingdom of Vijayanagar in the south of India. The project is a statement in which the slowly vanishing artisanry and craftsmanship of the region will be revived and celebrated. It is constructed out of two materials, Cor-Ten steel and local granite refer to the reddish iron ore-rich landscape and the victorious past of the City of Vijayanagar.
